Shortly after she lost her job last year and with it, her insurance coverage for herself and her three children, Mary made an appointment to see a physician at Mosaic Medical. Mary had started experiencing issues related to a chronic disease that she could no longer afford the medication to treat. During her first appointment, Mary spoke with her health care provider about the stress and concern she is now experiencing because she and her children are uninsured. After her appointment was through, Mary walked down the hall and met with a Mosaic Medical Outreach worker, who helped her apply for Healthy Kids insurance coverage for all three of her children. Then, she was directed to the Medication Assistance coordinator, also just down the hall, who helped Mary apply to receive her essential medications for just $3.00 per month, to help her continue to manage her chronic condition.
